



FOR KIDS - Special for Kids
Eye examinations for kids are very different from that for adults. Special equipment and procedures are often required. Age appropriate tests and experienced in pediatric optometry are especially important in assessing young children.
Our optometrist has many years of experience teaching and supervising at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University's Optometry Specialty Clinic of Pediatric Optometry and Vision Therapy.
What do we test for kids?
- Visual acuity - how well he/she sees, is there any sign of lazy eye?
- Prescription - is there long sightedness, short sightedness or astigmatism?
- Eye teaming ability - is there any eye teaming problem or eye squint?
- Focusing ability - is there any focusing problem that may affect reading or playing up close or causing eye strain?
- Stereopsis - how well does he/she see 3-dimensionly?
- Color vision - is there any color deficiency?
- Eye health - are both eyes healthy? internally and externally? is there any congenital problem?
- Eye tracking ability or other sign of vision-related-learning problem - is there any eye movement problem? is there a need for further evaluation of visual perception analysis?


FOR ADULTS - For Adults and Seniors
Eye care for each individual should be unique, providing for one's special needs; should it be contact lens services, computer and reading needs or even sports vision, we are able to provide expert advice and care for all of these items.
What do we test for adults?
- Visual Acuity - how well does he/she see?
- Prescription - what is the refractive power of the eye? is there a need for spectacles to see distant, to read and for other activity?
- Visual efficiency - are the eyes working well together in terms of eye teaming, focusing and tracking ability? is there any possible visual problem that may affect daily activity?
- Eye health - are both eyes healthy, internally and externally? is the eye pressure within normal limit? is there any systemic problem that may affect vision and health?
- Contact lenses - how is the fitting of the lens? how is the ocular health in relation to lens wear? are the particular contact lenses the best option for his/ her current use?



FOR SENIORS - For Adults and Seniors
Eye health may be one of the main concern in eye care services for the seniors. Our practice is equipped with state of the art equipment to identify subtle changes or early sign of ocular health problem.
We aim to deliver the highest standard of eye care services to the most senior member of your family.
What do we test for seniors?
- Visual Acuity - how well does he/she see?
- Prescription - what is the refractive power of the eye? is there a need for spectacles to see distant, near or for other activity?
- External eye health - are the eyes healthy externally, including eye lids, cornea, and the lens...? e.g. is there cataract etc?
- Internal eye health - is there any problem with the retina, blood vessels etc? e.g. is there age-related macular degeneration (ARMD) or other retinal change?
- Eye pressure - is there any possible sign of glaucoma?
